The Lightning Thief
by Rick Riordan
Seeing and reading The Lightning Thief was a treasure in my opinion. Both of the works were so amazing and magical, I just wanted to jump up and shriek to the entire world,”I love The Lightning Thief!” The movie was very exciting, with a lot of action and chases. It was also very different from the book: Annabeth was a substitute for Clarrisse. Also, Medusa didn’t really have a name and she dies by looking at the back of an iPOD Touch. In the movie, there was never a chase scene in a Maserati while in Vegas, and the three friends don’t spend much time in Los Angeles, for they must complete their quest. And neither Ares, Procrustes or Dionyus appear in the film, as they do in the book. So, if you want a good taste of miraculous adventure, go read The Lightning Thief. And don’t forget the movie afterwards!
